iPhone 3G... is it worth it?
The release of the new iPhone 3G on June 18th was a hit worldwide. Unfortunately they were not released in the UAE. So to get them we have to pay big money. This caused a lot of confusion because they were selling in the USA for just $199 (730 AED), so why do we in Dubai have to pay so much. Well that is because the iPhones are $199 with a contract for 2 years, which cost $70 a month. So if you multiply $70 with 24 (because 24 months) and add $199 (cost of iphone) you get a total of $1880. That is about 6900 AED. The high prices of the iphone 3G start to make sense now. So now I wonder why people pay almost double for an iPhone 3G when it would be ALOT cheaper to buy a regular iPhone. The only major difference between the two phones is the 3G has a little bettter battery life and faster internet download. I don't know about you, but I think I will stick with my old iPhone. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think.
